Brrr!!!

We may not have gotten that much snow yesterday, but since the temperature didn't make it up even close to freezing, what we got stuck around!  The girls most definitely made the most, of it, too. They rolled around the yard, made little snow (& grass) angels, and even gathered up enough for a few little snowballs.  So much fun!

Splish Splash!

Every evening when it is not raining our family loves to head out on a walk and explore for an hour or so. (For a while there we had a dry spell and got to go every day! Not so much lately!!) Last week it was pouring so hard that we could barely see across the street  and then suddenly...glorious sun! We threw our boots on and headed out quickly before it could downpour again. The older neighborhoods nearby don't have sidewalks, so the girls stomped through puddles for a few blocks, loving every minute and giggling with delight. At one point the puddles actually got deeper than the boots were tall.......Elora thought the squishing in her boots the rest of the was home was FAN-tastic. (Amarra, not so much. But she decided it was worth it for the puddles.)

Go Amarra Go!

This October Amarra Noel decided it was time.  She grabbed her Dad, headed outside, and rode her bike with no training wheels! Seleia rode along for moral support and cheered her on.  She is definitely one of the big girls now!

The Patch

Four years now we've lived in Woodland, and we never knew that the coolest pumpkin patch was right here in town. It is run my the lovely Dave and Julie Donald, and has, of course, pumpkin launching. The girls had an amazing amount of fun in the hay maze and posing as scarecrows (and, yes, I know putting the baby up for a photo op makes me a special kind of bad mom. I couldn't help myself.). Dave gave us a lovely little private hay ride where he took us to see a barn full of pregnant cows and to a field where he picked each of the girls their very own special "Little October" pumpkin to take home. We launched pumpkins across the field (that loud splat when they hit the target is oddly satisfying, I must say.) and cheered each other on, and then grabbed a wheelbarrow and headed out for the big pumpkins! Everyone enjoyed wandering the fields (it was beautiful!!) We loaded up on delicious pumpkins and had a wonderful time!
