Old Fashioned Entertainment

Thunder and lightning are a fairly rare "treat" here in the Northwest.  (In fact, the last time I remember a good lightning storm we were tent camping at the beach last fall...now THAT was an adventure!)  So, the other night when Elora came out announcing that she saw REAL lightning out her window, she was a very excited girl.  We went outside to check and, sure enough, there was quite a storm over the cascades.  Joel and Elora sat out back for over a half hour, just watching God's fireworks light up the night sky ("OOOH, did you see THAT ONE?!!?") Alas, the weather here remained calm and lovely.  Maybe we'll get a good storm or two this fall....
